My New Year's Resolutions (2016)!

Happy New Year Everyone!

Every New Year's Eve, we look back on our experiences and the things that we have accomplished in the year that passed and we search for things that we can change and improve in the year to come. It is the perfect time to make a fresh start in various parts of ours lives and challenge ourselves to work on our imperfections.
And that is where deciding on our "New Year's resolutions" comes in.

I actually have a lot of ambitions for 2016, but here are 7 of my "New Year's resolutions":

1. Try new things and have an exciting adventure every single day.
Looking back on 2015, there were a lot of times when I felt that I was wasting my time and energy by sitting around and doing nothing. However, the older I get, the more I realise how much quicker each year passes and how life is too short to be wasting it away. From now on, I want to enrich my everyday life with optimism and enthusiasm and make use of the opportunities that lie ahead of me. Furthermore, I want to challenge myself to try as many fun and creative things and activities as possible.

2. Improve my Drawing and Writing skills.
As I've already mentioned in a previous post, I want to improve my drawing and writing skills so that I can create otome games in the near future. Apart from doing it as a fun hobby, I'm also considering the possibility that I could  perhaps use my talents to my advantage and earn money as a visual novelist. It will definitely take a lot of effort and determination to achieve this goal, but I'm going to try my best.

3. Make new friends.
I'm considered to be a very friendly and confident person and I'm always nice to everyone, but sometimes making friends can be quite tricky. After having experienced a lot of disappointment, indifference from those I was trying to befriend and a series of bad friendships, I feel kind of discouraged. Especially because it's hard to find people who share a few of the same interests, opinions and hobbies as me and can accept my unique personality. But this year, I hope to try harder to approach more people and make some good friends out of them.
Also, don't forget that I consider all of you readers my friends too! :)

4. Lose some weight.
This is a goal that I set for myself every year, but, so far I haven't succeeded in reaching my goal weight. I'm a bit on the chubby side and that sometimes makes me feel quite insecure and uncomfortable, not to mention, I'm unable wear skin-tight clothes. Even though I will probably never have a very slim figure, I want to at least reach a healthier weight and feel happier and more comfortable with the way my body looks.

5. Find the time and determination to exercise.
I've never been particularly fond of exercising, though I'm aware that it is needed in order for me to have a healthier body. I've tried to start working out a lot of times, but I've always given up after a short while, due to lack of time, interest and determination. This year I want to try a bit harder to stick to exercising for as much as I can and hopefully make it a healthy habit.

6. Become more punctual.
Constantly being late for dates and finishing tasks and assignments at the very last minute has been a habit of mine for as long as I can remember. It's mostly a result of procrastination, poor time management and bad planning. Even though my loved ones have learned to tolerate it, it can be quite annoying for them most of the time. Especially for my boyfriend who always waits a long time for me to get ready before every date(sorry babe). This year I'm looking to change this tardy side of me and become more punctual, so that I can stop being in a rush and feeling worried and anxious all the time.

7. Post a lot more fun and interesting content on this blog.
Throughout these past 4 months, I've taken blogging a bit more seriously and I've come to enjoy writing for your entertainment and mine. There's still a lot of room for improvement and I'm trying my best. I hope that I can post more interesting content for you to read from now on. Lastly, I seek to gather more supporters - friends and develop this blog into a place of happiness and positivity.

I encourage you to determine (if you haven't already) your resolutions for 2016 and I wish that you'll be happy, healthy and that you will achieve all your goals.

If you like this post please share it.
Also, I would like to know what your "New Year's resolutions" are and if we have a few in common, so make sure to leave a comment about that down below.

Thank you for reading!

Love,
Stephanie

    1. Haha! That is very true!
I also struggle with waking up in the mornings.
We need to hide our phones somewhere on the other side of the room, so that when the alarm goes off we actually have to get up and search for it. By the time it's found we should be quite awake. ;)
      xx
